Managing Director

Bill Fry's aviation career commenced in the mid 80s as an resources industry pilot based in Lae, Papua New Guinea. He then joined Ansett Australia Airlines where he was a Training Captain and Flight Operations Auditor.

In 2005 Bill was appointed as a Senior Transport Safety Investigator with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau in Canberra. In this role Bill investigated as investigator-in-charge many fixed and rotary wing aircraft accidents. He was then appointed to the role of Manager of Operations Investigations within Qantas Group Safety and led the investigation into a number of serious occurrences affecting the Qantas Group covering both Flight Operations and Engineering disciplines.

Bill has logged 15,000 + flight hours including more than 9,600 in command of high capacity jet aircraft. In addition to holding airline transport pilot licences issued by Australian, Fijian & Japanese authorities. Bill holds formal qualifications in Transport Safety Investigation, Lead Auditing, Human Factors, Airline Management, Metal Fabrication, Security and Risk Management and Workplace Assessment and Training.

More recently Peter has been engaged by Qantas Airways as a Safety Adviser and Regulatory Consultant

Peter Shepherd

Principal Aviation Advisor – Engineering

Peter Shepherd's aviation career began in 1965 when he commenced training as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) with Qantas Airlines. Peter is licensed on a wide range of jet, turbo-prop and helicopter types.

Peter was the manager of High Capacity Airline Operations with the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority. He held all airworthiness Regulatory Delegations and conducted auditing, airworthiness and incident investigations.

Peter was appointed the Director of Engineering and Maintenance for Impulse Airlines where he was responsible for transitioning the company to high capacity operations and introduced the Boeing 717 to the Australian operation. As General Manager at Jetstar Airways, Peter oversaw the introduction of the Airbus 320/321 and 330 aircraft into the company fleet. Peter was responsible for engineering oversight at Jetstar during a period of considerable growth both domestically and internationally.

More recently Peter has been engaged by Qantas Airways as a Safety Adviser and Regulatory Consultant

Elizabeth Greig

Quality Manager

Elizabeth Greig's Nursing career commenced in the mid 80s when she completed General training at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) in Sydney. This was followed by Midwifery Training also at RNSH. Elizabeth practised in Canberra until moving to the United Kingdom where she gained additional qualifications and experience in the areas of Fertility Nursing (Oxford) and Midwifery (London).

Elizabeth's studies were followed by volunteer work for the National Childbirth Trust in the London Borough of Richmond. In this role Elizabeth gained valuable experience in client assessment, counselling and training. On returning to Australia, Elizabeth resumed Midwifery.

Her natural management ability was soon noticed and she was headhunted to manage a yet to be constructed Private Day Surgery Hospital to be located in Canberra's prestigious Parliamentary Triangle. Elizabeth was involved with design detail and compliance issues prior to and during the construction and commissioning. She was also responsible for recruitment, induction and performance management of all nursing and medical support staff. In her role as the Director of Nursing Elizabeth was responsible for obtaining and maintaining the Accreditation and Quality Management System of the hospital.

Elizabeth brings to Pinpoint Aviation Solutions a wealth of experience covering Auditing and Quality Management; personnel recruitment and training as well as strong business management skills.
